Mark your calendars for the 13th July, 2024, and head to Romsey for the 30th anniversary of the Beggars Fair: a vibrant, free music festival that's a must-visit. This annual event transforms Romsey into a lively celebration of music, dance, and community spirit. With over 80 acts performing across more than 20 venues, the festival features an eclectic mix of folk, jazz, blues, rock, and more.

This festival began in 1993 with a vision to celebrate local music in Romsey. It is organized by dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure its success each year. Their passion and commitment are evident in every aspect of the festival with the diverse lineup of performers and their carefully planned activities, entertainment and venues.

Families can enjoy interactive workshops and activities for children, hair braiding and face painting makeup, inflatables and much more. Also, community groups and local businesses will be offering information and engaging with visitors about their services and initiatives.

In addition, at various spots around the festival—such as The Cornmarket, Palmerston Square, The Hundred, Church Place, and Memorial Park—you'll find many street food vendors serving delicious treats all day long.
