✨ Lymington Christmas Lights Switch-On: A Magical Start to the Festive Season

Every year, Lymington transforms into a sparkling winter wonderland as the town celebrates its beloved Christmas Lights Switch-On. This much-anticipated event marks the beginning of the festive season, drawing residents and visitors alike to enjoy an evening filled with music, entertainment, and holiday cheer.

🎄 A Town Dressed for Christmas

On the evening of the Switch-On, Lymington’s High Street, St Thomas Street, and the Quay come to life with twinkling lights, decorated shopfronts, and more than 100 beautifully decorated Christmas trees.

From 4pm, the streets fill with live music, theatre performances, community carols, and Christmas classics. Below is the full programme taking place on the main stage outside St Thomas Church:

6:00pm – Official Christmas Lights Switch-On with the Town Mayor

6:00pm – 6:15pm – St Thomas Church Bell Ringers

6:15pm – 7:00pm – The Fifinellas – Vintage Christmas performance

7:15pm – 8:00pm – Christmas Jazz

Inside St Thomas Church, visitors can enjoy the enchanting Christmas Tree Festival, featuring more than 70 decorated trees created by community groups, schools, and organisations.

🛍️ Late-Night Shopping & Festive Stalls

Lymington’s High Street will be bustling with:

Adding even more festive spirit, the Lymington Town Band performs outside the United Reform Church, filling the streets with Christmas favourites.
